Magrita Prinslo of Liifde Getrou tot in di Dood is a play by S.J. du Toit (1847-1911).

The full title on the publication is: Magrita Prinslo, of, Liifde getrou tot in di dood : 'n historise toneelstuk uit di tyd fan di grote trek

Also known simply as Magrita Prinslo.

The original text

Written in 1896 for the second Afrikaner Taalkongres held in Paarl 27 en 28 January, 1897, and performed for the first time in the Town Hall, Paarl, during the congress.

The text of 12 pages was originally published in the journal Ons Klyntji and printed by the Paarlse Drukpers (1897). It was subsequently included in Di bedriegers, Magrita Prinslo, en ander Afrikaanse dramas en samesprake tot 1900, a seminal collection of early Afrikaans performance pieces compiled by F.C.L. Bosman and published by the Voortrekkerpers in 1942. A second edition of the collection was published by Human & Rousseau in 1975.
