Lepatata is a is a Setswana play by Moagi Modise.

The text

Set in the aftermath of a battle for land between the Batlaping and the KhoiKhoi/Boer alliance in the 1800s,. (The word “ lepatata” refers to the Kudu horn used as a trumpet.) The play was commissioned by the Market Theatre and the Windybrow Theatre.

Performances

2015: First produced by the Market Theatre and the Windybrow Theatre in the Barney Simon Theatre during August, directed by Makhaola Ndebele with inter alia Mmabatho Mogomotsi,
