John Moss (19*-2008). Playwright, producer, director and theatre manager.

Biography

He was married to actress Jill Fenson.

Training

Career

Head of drama for NAPAC (196*-*).

After John retired as Director of Drama, he became Deputy General Director of NAPAC for a year before retiring from the company and returning to his native England.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He wrote and produced the pantomimes Robinson Crusoe (for NAPAC, 1981 and PACT1983/84), Cinderella in 1983, Aladdin (NAPAC, 1978; PEMADS, 1986), Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood (NAPAC, 1984; PEMADS, 1987; Arts Theatre Club, 1988).

As an actor, he played the character Firs in The Loft Theatre Company production of The Cherry Orchard.
