Jo'burg Follies is the title of an original revue created by Kevin Feather and Malcolm Terrey.

According to the publicity for the latter show published in ArtsLink (22 October, 1999)[1], the co-stars and co-authors had appeared in over 1,500 performances of Jo'burg Follies since it was conceived in 1986, received six award nominations and been nominated 3 times for the FNB Vita Award for the Contribution to Comedy.

Sequels

The original work had a number of sequels over the years, also created by Kevin Feather and Malcolm Terrey:

1986: The original Jo'burg Follies first performed at The Black Sun in Johannesburg from 14 December 1986-4 January, 1987. Musical direction by Kevin Feather, with a cast consisting of Malcolm Terrey, Mark Richardson, Celeste Litkie and Kevin Feather.

1989: Revived Jo'burg Follies performed as a late night showcase at the Leonard Rayne Theatre in Johannesburg from 4 to 28 April. Musical direction by Kevin Feather, with a cast consisting of Malcolm Terrey, Celeste Litkie, Johan Engelbrecht and Richard Loring.

1990: Jo'burg Follies 2, presented by Pieter Toerien, directed by Jimmy Bell at the Theatre on the Bay, 1990, starring Malcolm Terrey, Jonathan Taylor, Odile Rault and Kevin Feather.

1991: Jo'burg Follies On Tour, presented by Kevin Feather, directed by Jimmy Bell, starring Malcolm Terrey, Odile Rault, Steven Breger and Kevin Feather.

1991: Jo'burg Follies 3 with Jonathan Taylor, Odile Rault and Kevin Feather.

Jo'burg Follies 4 (?) starring Dorothy-Ann Gould, Malcolm Terrey, Louise Saint Claire and Kevin Feather.

Jo'burg Follies 4 & a half.

1996: Jo'burg Follies 5. The Best of..., directed by Neil Lessick, starring Malcolm Terrey, Kevin Feather, Louie B. Cowan and Shaeleen Tobin, with set design by Andrew Botha and lighting by Jannie Swanepoel.

2000: Jo'burg Follies 2000 presented at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, Durban, 9 – 20 November[2]
