Jessie Matthews (1907-1981) [1]. British star of stage and screen musicals.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She did a guest appearance in Larger than Life, which was based on the novel Theatre by Somerset Maugham, and dramatised by the author and Guy Bolton. It was staged for the Johannesburg Reps in 1955 by Anthony Farmer.
