Isidingo was a long-running South African soap opera created by Gray Hofmeyr
With dialogue largely in English and isiXhosa, it centred around the lives of the wealthy Haines family, the Matabanes, and the lives of the inhabitants of the mining town Horizon Deep.
The show premiered on SABC 3 in July 1998 and was broadcast evenings on SABC 3 from Monday to Friday at 19:00. On 29 November 2019 the SABC announced that the production had been cancelled and the final broadcast was aired on 12 March 2020.
