Inquest on Gordon is a play by Michael Drin ()

The original text

A play in two acts, described in a subtitle as "[Being] am Imaginary Inquiry into the Deat of Lt. Colonel Robert Gordon Commander of the Dutch East India Company's Forces at the Cape of Good Hope in 1795."

It was written as an entry for the Amstel Playwright's Award in 1978, being awarded a Special Merit Award.

The text has not been published, but a copy of the typed text was found in the Stellenbosch Drama Department's theatre archives and now held in the Performing Arts Research Collection (PARC) at the Africa Open Institute for Music, Research and Innovation, with offices at Pieter Okkers House, 7 Joubert Street, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
