She studied music in Bloemfontein under Victor Pohl.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Her first role with the Hanekom Geselskap was as Estelle in Deur Sy Afgod Verpletter, followed by Theresa Minnaar in Trou is nie Perde Koop Nie, Wanda haller in Die Verterende Vuur (1949), Sarie in Die Vryerige Spook, Trudie Meiring and Bessie Blom in Waar Was Jy Gisteraand.
