Performance history in South Africa

A letter from director John W. Slemon, dated June 21 1988, advised the author of the Baxter Theatre's 'precarious' financial postion and his decision to therefore 'treat Henry as a Studio venture' before trying to 'take the play to the main stage', and offering 'a six weeks slot in the Studio...with our eye to possible Grahamstown transfer'. (NELM 2003. 54. 128 and 2003. 54. 129 [Photostat]). There is no other evidence that the play was produced.
