Performance history in South Africa

1996: First staged in the Adcock-Ingram Auditorium at the Windybrow Arts Centre in July 1996, directed by Walter Chakela, with Crispin de Nys (Cecil), Richard Nwamba (Johnny), Lesele Leslie Leseyame (Joseph), Carlo Radebe (James), Ephraim Basotli Magagane (Sylvester), Juanita Strydom (Frankie) and Joyce Skefu (Freda). Set and costume design by Kathy A. Perkins.

1996: The same production moved to the Momentum Theatre at the State Theatre in August.
