H. Roorda

(18*-19*) Poet, lyricist and active member and co-founder of the “rederijkerskamer” Onze Taal in 1891. He and Dirk J. Balfoort (composer) were mainly responsible for the success of the society. (One of his lyrics, set to Balfoort’s music, was for the song Onze Taal – which gave them the name for the society.)
