Guardians of Eden

Guardians of Eden was created by Nicholas Ellenbogen and Theatre for Africa. An improvised play utilizing mime, mimetic sounds, dance, songs, storytelling and minimalist techniques to address the extinction of birds and animals*. First performed at *1996, then toured the country.

Performance history in South Africa

It was presented at the Oude Libertas Theatre from 29 January to 1 February 1997, directed by Nicholas Ellenbogen and Patrick Mofokeng, starring Malawian Raymond Kasawaya, Nhlanhla Mavundla, Zimbabweans Mandla Moyo and Samson Felo, Kenyan Jonathan Muthubi, Liz Szymczak and Msatero Tembo from Zambia.
