Glyn Spaans

Glyn Spaans (1932-2005). Reviewer.

Biography

He was born and raised in Cape Town. After matriculating, he worked as a printer-compositor on an English morning newspaper.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Spaans had a special passion for theatre. After he retired, he worked as a freelance journalist for the Cape Argus, writing sports reports and amateur theatre reviews. According to Derek Wilson he was a keen, dedicated follower of the amateur theatre scene and he was also happy to cover children's theatre.
