Frieda van den Heever
Frieda van den Heever (198*-) is an actress, singer, composer and cabaret artist.

Biography
She grew up in the Namaqualand area and matriculated at the Bloemhof Hoër Meisieskool in Stellenbosch. Frieda studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department.
She was married to the late Leon Kruger.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student she wrote and/or developed plays and cabarets, including In die Huis met die Deur.
Frieda performed in N.P. van Wyk Louw en die Meisies in 2006 and in Albert Maritz's cabaret Elders aan Diens (based on poems by Jeanne Goosen) in 2007.
She was one of the judges for the Kanna Awards at the KKNK in 2013.
Radio and TV work includes dubbing for TV, performing and directing radio dramas and poetry readings, narrating audio books, and presenting the radio programmes such as Vers en Klank en Kortom on Radio Sonder Grense (RSG). From 2009 onwards she has been a familiar voice on Radio Tygerberg's commercials and the voice announcer for top South African brands, such as Pick 'n Pay stores, Sarie magazine, Kalahari.com, the KKNK festival (2014) and Fruit & Veg stores.
As an accomplished and prolific composer she has written and co-written numerous songs over the years.
