Florence Masebe

Florence Masebe (1972-) is an actress.

Biography

Born on 14 November 1972 in Limpopo

On 18 August 1999 she was shot forty times outside her house and left for dead, but managed to survive, and go on to make a prominent career as an award-winning actress. At the time, unsubstantiated reports had alleged that she, Sello Maake ka Ncube and a number of other former Generations stars were on some kind of hit list.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Her many film and TV roles include appearances in Generations, Morwalela, 7de Laan, Scandal, Task Force, Soul City, Black Butterflies (2011), Elelwani (2012), Ring Of Lies, Muvhango, The Republic (2019) Skeem Saam (2024-)

In 2013 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Elelwani[1].
