History

1999

Durban’s annual showcase of daring, challenging and new dance, Dance Shongololo, took place in the Playhouse Drama Theatre from October 18 to 24.

Two guest companies were featured at 1999's FNB Vita Dance Shongololo. Bopa Danco Company, under the artistic direction of David Matamela, performed TSEPO on October 22 and 23. On October 21 and 23, Moeketsi Koena, recently returned from Brussels, performed an untitled solo piece which was the highlight of the FNB Vita Dance Umbrella in Gauteng earlier this year.
