She became a professional actress in 1942 working for the companies of Anton Ackerman and Johan Fourie. She joined the NTO in 1948.

She had roles in Verlore Siele and Kom Ons Gaan Blomme Pluk... for the Johan Fourie-toneelgeselskap and for NTO Nag het die Wind Gebring (as Linde), Oupa Brompie.
