Eersterus Dramavereniging ("Eersterus Dramatic Society")

An amateur group formed by Paul Jacobs in the "coloured" township Eersterus, outside Pretoria. They were the first black group to attend a meeting on amateur theatre in South Africa in November 1975, a meeting organised by Joy Woods, Chairman of The Greenwood Tree. **

Eersterus Performing Arts Council (EPAC) or Eersterus Raad vir die Uitvoerende Kunste (ERUK)

Under the mentorship of University of Pretoria Drama Department drama lecturer Hannes Horne, they renamed themselves the Eersterus Performing Arts Council (Afrikaans: Eersterus Raad vir die Uitvoerende Kunste - ERUK) in 19**. In 1981 they became agents for the Department of Education and Culture's arts outreach programme.

Among their important productions were to follow, and include Kanna hy kô Hystoe (Adam Small, 19**), Bacchus in die Boland (Bartho Smit, 1978), Kinkels in die Kabel (André P. Brink, 19**), **. . ** , Faan se Trein (Pieter Fourie, April, 1984), Die Huigelaar (1988). Other productions were Noah, A View from the Bridge and Dark of the Moon.
