The Durban Theatre Association was a politically inspired theatre group in Natal.

Founded in Durban by Ronnie Govender, Slim Moodley, Muthal Naidoo, Prem Singh and number of others in the late 1950s.

The association produced a South African version of the Greek classical play Antigone, a work that attracted the attention of the Special Branch because of its references to the South African political situation.

Shortly afterwards, Govender relocated to Cape Town to study and the Durban Theatre Association folded.
