Dorothy Gard'ner (?-1938) Johannesburg-based Speech and Drama teacher and writer.

Biography

She wrote a collection of verse, Verses for South African Children, Grown Up or Otherwise (published by J.L. Van Schaik, Ltd., Pretoria, 1936).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Gard'ner established a studio in Johannesburg in 1926.

She co-directed (with Cuthbert Rose) How the World Wags (1927, presented at the Jewish Guild Hall, Johannesburg featuring students of Gard'ner and Rose)) .
