Sordid Story is a one act play by J.A.S. Coppard (active 1932-1985).

The original text

An Australian play about the conflicting thoughts that on in the mind of a thug as he waits on a street corner for his girl.

Published in Twelve One-Act Plays from the International One-Act Play Theatre, edited by Elizabeth Everard and published in London by Allen and Unwin in 1939.

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Afrikaans as Die Verwronge Spel ("the twisted play/game") by Hannes Horne.
