The original text
A piece about the futile attempts to capture and hold onto happiness, the play tells of two women in a hospital who each get what they want. The old woman wants to regain her hearing and the younger woman wants a child, but for neither one is it as they imagined and expected it to be. For each the blessing becomes a curse.
