Performance history in South Africa
1853: Performed in the Dutch as De Lotery Prys, of No. 2,5,3,8, by Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst in the Bree Street Theatre, Cape Town on 28 April ( repeated on 3 May). It was done as afterpiece to Rozella en Guido, of Het Regt der Natuur (Westerman). The company wrongly claims - at least in the case of De Lotery Prys - that "Beide Stukken zullen voor de eerste maal op het Kaapsch Tooneel vertoond worden" (i.e. "the two works are seen on the Cape stage for the first time").
