De Krokodil, De Bedrogene Broeders , of De Geretourneerde Afrikaan ("The crocodile, the deceived brothers, or the returned African") is a (cumbersome and slightly illogical) title mentioned by F.C.L. Bosman (1928: p 241) as a "Komedieboek" ("comedy book") being sought by the Cape Town amateur company Tot Nut en Vermaak in 1830, and described as a comedy in one act. However, whether this implies a collection of one act plays, or a single work is uncertain, since no trace of such a title can be found. Bosman also notes that he could find no indication of a performance.

In his Sakeregister ("Index", pp.569 and 573), Bosman seems to suggest there may actually have been two items sought, a "Komedieboek" called De Krokodil plus a one-act play called De Bedrogene Broeders , of De Geretourneerde Afrikaan, since he lists them seperately.
