De Arme Rijkaard ("The poor rich man") is a Dutch tragedy in one act by A.E. Nieuwmeijer (fl. mid-19th century).

Published as De Arme Rijkaard in Amsterdam by G.T. Bom, 1862. Attributed to A.E. Nieuwmeyer in some cases.

Performance history in South Africa

1868: Performed as De Arme Rykaard (and attributed to A.E. Nieuwmeyer) by Aurora II in the hall of the Germania Liedertafel in Cape Town on 7 May 1868, with Uitgefloten (Anon).
