Criticism is the term used for any kind of evaluation or judgement (using analysis and evaluation) of the merits and faults of the actions or work of another individual. Criticism has a range of meanings from an evaluation which does not necessarily find fault to the more usual sense of one which expresses disapproval.(See Wikipedia - Criticsm[1])

For more about this general definition, and related discussions about the complex and subtle distinctions often made between the concepts commentator, critic and a reviewer for example, may be found in a variety of publications under such general rubrics as "critical theory"[2], "literary theory"[3], "art criticism"[4], "film criticism"[5] and "theatre criticism"[6] and so on.
