Couplet is a play by Michelle Douglas, co-written with Steven Feinstein[1].

The original text

Written almost entirely in rhyming verse, the piece uses shadows, puppets and masks, employing spectacle and storytelling to look at the timeless themes of hatred, prejudice, love, redemption and transformation through the eyes of these two stage sisters, lost in a Victorian music hall somewhere in time, or their imagination.
