Christopher Charles is a writer, playwright, photographer and company director.

Also known as Chris Charles

Biography

Having obtained a BA degree from Natal University majoring in English and Drama he began his career as a freelance writer, publishing short stories, radio plays, television dramas, theatrical plays and writing for magazines (as diverse as Cosmopolitan to IT magazines in later life). He then went on to join the film industry as a stills photographer and production assistant, working his way through the ranks of commercials and features to become a producer.

In 1985 the restrictions imposed by the State of Emergency in South Africa led him to become a copywriter for advertising firms such as Ogilvy & Mather, before starting the multimedia company Tinderbox Interactive with three other partners (1995 - 2001). This was followed by founding InterAlios[1] with his partner Lee le Roux in 2000.

As a playwright, he wrote the plays Walking Wounded (1985),
