Brian Rawlinson

Brian Rawlinson (1931-2000) was a British actor and director.


Biography

Born Stockport, Cheshire and died in Exeter, Devon, aged 69.

Began his stage career with the Old Vic and appeared in a number of stage productions and films in England, but most frequently appeared on television.

As a writer he wrote several plays, and was heavily involved in the BBC serial Churchill's People in the 1970s.

Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, media and Performance

He directed Alan Aykbourn's trilogy, The Norman Conquests for the Baxter Company '79 at the Baxter Theatre in 1979.


Awards

In 1980 he received the Fleur du Cap Lifetime Award for his contribution to theatre in Cape Town. {IS THIS THE SAME PERSON???}
