Brenda Fassie. (1964-2004) Singer, actress and icon.
She started her career as an actress and singer in Gibson Kente’s township musicals before her very successful career as a singer.
Duma ka Ndlovu wrote a musical on her life, titled Memeza (2005).
A musical based on her life, titled MA-BRRR: The Musical (premiered in 2010).
