Same Old Moon is a full-length play by Geraldine Aron (1941-).

Original text

An autobiographical play about a young aspiring West End playwright named "Brenda Barnes". Originally called Brenda and submitted to the Amstel Playwright of the Year competition, which it won in 1983.

It was renamed Same Old Moon and performed under this name in 1984. Published as Same Old Moon by Samuel French, 1991.

South African productions

1984: First performed by the Baxter Theatre Company, opening 7 June, directed by Victor Melleney assisted by Geraldine Aron, with Kerry Arnell, Valerie Dunlop, Corinne Willoughby, Susan Pam, David Alcock, Paddy Canavan, Michael Maxwell, Nicola Militz, Don Maguire. Design by Brian Collins, costumes by Shauna Johnson and Birrie le Roux, lighting by Sydney Jansen.

International productions

Played at the Druid Theatre, Galway, Ireland, opening 30 April 1984; the Gielgud Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London; and the Ulster Play Festival 2001
