The Bolton Hall at the corner of Albert and Queen Streets in Durban. The Bolton Hall, a Trade Union Hall was a popular venue for meetings of organisations opposed to apartheid. It was here that the Brian Brooke Theatre Company, in defiance of racist laws and attitudes, performed to non-racial audiences in the 1950s.

A hall used by TECON for their first production (Twelve Angry Men, August 1970, directed by Ben Persad) (Loren Kruger 1999 has Osborne’s Look Back in Anger as first production?*).
