A one-act play by Madeleine Masson, performed in the Carlton Hotel Ballroom by the Johannesburg Repertory Society on 26 August 1945. The play is about two lonely spinsters whose mundane existence is disrupted by the arrival of an Italian prisoner of war. This results in much verbal manoeuvring and rituals of domination and submission between the sisters and a strong sexual tension developes as the sisters play out their longing for him. First performed by the Johannesburg Reps on 26 August at the Carlton Hotel Ballroom in 1945. Unpublished typescript held in CESAT collection, National Film and Video Archives, Pretoria (no 555/632).
