Bamboozling is an original farce in one act by Thomas Egerton Wilks (1812-1854)[1].

The original text

First performed at the Olympic Theatre, London, 16 May 1842 and on Published in London and New York by Samuel French in 1842.

Performance history in South Africa

1885: Performed in the Theatre Royal, Burg Street, Cape Town, under the brief Sidney-Fiedler management, with H.C. Sidney as "Captain Bamboozle".
