Autumn Crocus is play by Dodie Smith ()[].

The original text

Smith's first play, it was written under the pseudonym of C.L. Anthony). Telling the story of a single schoolteacher who goes on holiday to the Tyrol and falls in love with the married owner of the hotel in which she is staying.

First produced in 1931, directed by Basil Dean, opening at the Lyric Theatre, London, on 6 April 1931, with Fay Compton, Francis Lederer and Martita Hunt. Stage designs were by Gladys Calthrop.

1959: Performed by PEMADS in Port Elizabeth, directed by Leontine Sagan with Peter Curtis as "Andreis Steiner".
