Biography
Andrew was born and schooled in Cape Town.
Training
He obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree at Rhodes University with Speech and Drama as the major subject, 1985.
Career
Since 1986 he has been working mainly in the film and television industry.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student he appeared in A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Francois Swart presented by Rhodes, 1985.
He appeared in The Real Inspector Hound, Die Van Aardes van Grootoor, The Lisbon Traviata, Entertaining Mr Sloane, Torch Song Trilogy at the Market Theatre. A spell with NAPAC in 1987 gave Andrew the opportunity to perform in Cider with Rosie directed by Malcolm Farquhar and Antony and Cleopatra directed by John Hussey. In 1990 he appeared in Single Spies.
He co-wrote Die Prys with Guy de Lancey.
His work in the film and television industry include productions such as Life Begins at Forty (1988), Veldslag (1990), Big Time (1991). Films include A Private Life and Schoolmaster.
