(****-****). Actor. Won the Three Leaf Award for Best Actor in 1967 and 1975. (SACD 1979/80)


DUNSTER, Wilson (19**-) Actor for stage, television and film. *** As a student at the University of Cape Town Drama Department he performed in Little Malcolm and his Struggle against the Eunuchs by ????* at the Little Theatre in 1967 with Peter Kruger and Pieter Uys and directed by Mavis Taylor. Joined CAPAB? Involved in workshopping Orestes with Athol Fugard and Yvonne Bryceland for the CAPAB Laboratory. Then worked for The Space on People are Living There, Bar and Ger, Dimetos, The Glass Menagerie, Medea and Occupations. and later worked for CAPAB, PACOFS, *** Plays include Tango (197*?), *** Married to actress Elize Cawood.** Later in the 1990’s made a career in television.

DUNSTER, Wilson. He starred in The Company’s production of Peter Weiss’ Marat/Sade aka The Persecution of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade for the official opening of the Market Theatre on 19 October 1976. It was directed by Barney Simon and also starred Kenneth Hendel and Sandra Prinsloo. He starred in The Company’s presentation of Barney Simon’s revival of People are Living There with Yvonne Bryceland, Vanessa Cooke and Danny Keogh at The Market Theatre in 1977. He starred in The Company’s production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular, designed by Anthony Farmer and co-directed by John Hussey and Mannie Manim. It also starred Graham Armitage, Naomi Buch, Diane Appleby, Kerry Jordan and Gay Lambert and was staged at the Market Theatre in November 1977. He starred in the Academy-Company production of Murray Schisgal’s Broadway comedy Luv, directed by Barney Simon. It also starred Janice Honeyman and James White and was staged at Upstairs at the Market in 1977. He starred in a revival of El Grande de Coca-Cola with direction by Michael Richard for PACT in 1979. It also starred Elizabeth Rae, Gillian Harris, Etienne Puren and Alan Goldstein and was staged at the Arena. He starred in PACT’s production of Sheridan’s The Rivals together with John Hussey, Pauline Bailey, James White, Pamela Gien and John Lesley directed by Michael Atkinson at the State Theatre in March 1983. He starred in the Johannesburg Civic Theatre Association and Brickhill-Burke Productions co-production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum together with Terry Lester in June 1983. He starred in PACT’s production of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross together with Bill Flynn, Anthony Fridjohn and Dale Cutts under Bobby Heaney’s direction at the Alexander Theatre in 1985. He starred in Lucille Gillwald’s production of Sam Shephard’s True West at the Market Theatre in 1985.
