Trish McKenna (19**-). Actress, dancer, choreographer.

Biography

Trish was born in Liverpool and brought up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).

She studied dance with Joan Turner, joined the REPS Theatre in Salisbury and after working for three years as a school teacher , came to South Africa to sing with a band.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Performed in Jester Minute, Godspell, Gypsy, Stop the World, Fangs, Story Theatre, Chicago (on tour), My Fair Lady, Alice, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Wonderful World of Make Believe, I'm Getting my Act Toghether and Taking it on the Road, Stepping Out, Tarts.

She co-wrote The Story of Juliet and Hamlet and Romeo with Rudi Trap.

She was assistant to the director for Pippin and the second Godspell, did the choreography for Story Theatre, Alice and Sugar and Spice.

Trish directed Return to the Forbidden Planet, presented by Nedbank et al. at the Playhouse Theatre, Durban, from 28 October 1997.
