Thobeka Maqutyana (19*-). Actress.

Training

She is a graduate from CAP full-time drama course, 1983-85.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Thobeka starred in the Vusisizwe Players’ workshopped production of You Strike a Woman, You Strike a Rock together with Nomvula Qosha and Poppy Tsira under Phyllis Klotz’s direction at the Market Theatre in December 1986. It returned in early 1987 before touring Europe and North America.

She was one of the creators of Wathint'abafazi wathint'imbokotho. (NELM).
