The Lion and the Lamb, of which the text was taken from all four Gospels, was compiled by Barney Simon. It tells the story of Christ from the Annunciation to His Ascension.

1993: It was told and directed by John Kani and Barney Simon, accompanied by the singers Gloria Bosman, Felicia Marion and Jennifer Ferguson and the harpist Merle Thompson, directed by Simon at the National Arts Festival, 1993. Cast : John Kani, Sibongile Khumalo, Sophie Mgcina, Lydia Hannibal, (Harpist : Merle Thompson).
1998: John Kani, Sibongile Ngoma, Margaret Motsaga, The Joy Celebration Choir. Conceived by Barney Simon and John Kani.
