A TV film written by Athol Fugard and Ross Devenish, and directed by Ross Devenish. Originally called The Guest at Steenkampskraal. Based on an episode in Leon Rousseau's biography of Eugene Marais, Die Groot Verlange ("The Great Longing"). The cast includes Athol Fugard, Marius Weyers, Gordon Vorster, Wilma Stockenstrom, Trix Pienaar, James Borthwick.

The film was shown at the XXX Fetival Internazionale Del Film, Locarno 4 - 14 August 1977.
