Street Scene is a 1929 play in three acts by American playwright Elmer Rice [1] (1892-1967).

Performance history in South Africa

1952: Presented by the Peninsula Dramatic Society, produced by Carter Ebrahim at the Woodstock Town Hall, 21 August 1952.

1962: Presented in a translation into Afrikaans, entitled Straat Loop Dood, by the University of Cape Town's Speech and Drama Department at the Little Theatre in June. Robert Mohr directed.
