Shaluza Max is the stage name of Themba Mntambo. (1966-2014). Internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter. Jazz musician.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Famous for his contributions to world music as well as maskandi.

At the age of 20 he toured the world with the cast of Sarafina, also serving as the cast's vocal coach.

He is credited with co-writing and producing the soundtrack of the film Jock of the Bushveld.

He had a role in Play@Risk (Aardklop 2001/2).
