The Rhodes University Players was a theatre company made up of a small group of Rhodes University staff and students, founded in the 1960s.


The company involved individuals such as Don McClennan, Athol Fugard, Peter du Preez, Ann Oosthuysen,

The group helped develop and perform a series of new that have come into existence through the activities of a small group of Rhodes University staff and students, the others in the series including The Third Degree (McClennan), A Place of Safety, H.E.L.P., The Great Wall of China and Focus (Oosthuysen).
