Raeford Daniel

Raeford Daniel (1932/3?-1998) was a highly regarded South African theatre, film and ballet critic.

Daniel worked for the Rand Daily Mail, later appointed Arts Editor, a position he held until the newspaper closed in 1985. He subsequently also served as Arts Editor of The Citizen, and The Weekly Mail. On his retirement continued writing on the performing arts on an ad hoc basis, till his unexpected passing at the age of 66 in 1998.

As an actor he appeared as "The Judge" in the TV film If This Be Treason (1998) by Cedric Sundström.
