(“Pietermaritzburg Debating and Literary Society”) An Afrikaans cultural society, one of the strongest of the many debating-societies at the forefront of the amateur theatrical scene in Natal during the early 20th Century. Already active by 1908, and led by Adv. E.G. Jansen and Mrs. Jansen and the Rev. J.M.
