Michael Silver (born circa 1908 in London, died October 1990 in Johannesburg) was a South African radio personality and writer, the man behind Springbok Radio programmes Consider Your Verdict and Inspector Carr Investigates. He moved to South Africa in 1947.

He wrote the play The Shooting Star
