Originally known simply as '''Die Kleinteater''' (= The Little Theatre), it was the theatre ultimately built for [[Volksteater]] in 19**, though not to the originally proposed plans. Situated in Skinner Street, it was from the start owned by the Transvaal Education Department and later used by the students of the [[Pretoria Educational College]], it hosted the finals of the annual [[Administrator’s Cup Competition]] for many years.
