Die Koffiehuis

Die Koffiehuis ("The Coffee House") was a venue in Cape Town used from 1915 by the Oranjeklub for amateur performances, including the famous Koffiehuis Konserte ("Coffee House Concerts") ??**.

On 11 May 1934 it also played host to the first performances by the Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging (KAT), namely Rooibruin Blare and Ruwe Erts, both by H.A. Fagan. It stayed in use as the KAT’s regular venue until 1940.
