Ilse Klink (1972-). Actress, singer.

Biography

Ilse is originally from Mitchells Plain but moved to Pretoria with her parents. She studied drama in Pretoria and worked for PACOFS. She is the lead singer in an Afrikaans rock group Ekstra Dik.

She has appeared on stage in Bessie Head’s Maru (1994), played Matron "Mama" Morton in In Chicago: The Musical, Menopause - The Musical (2006), The Amen Corner (2008), London Road (2011), Tarts (2013), Kristalvlakte (2016), Puss in Boots (2017).

Avanti 2000 best supporting actress in television series (Vanessa in Isidingo).

She won a Naledi Award for her role in The Amen Corner (2009) and a Fleur du Cap for Rosie in Mamma Mia! in 2011.
